…we walk by faith and not by sight. — 2 Corinthians 5:7
WE WALK…
So
many times our relationship with God has been expressed as a journey with
Him. In fact, one of our best-loved scriptures is Micah 6:8.
He
has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
We must remember to not fall far behind our Leader, and to also not
get ahead of Him. He will provide for our journey, light our way, refresh us,
and protect us.
…BY FAITH
No one
better than Jesus showed us how important faith is. Without it we cannot gain
anything He has to offer. How important it is to trust the One who best knows
(and is best known as) the Way.
…NOT BY SIGHT
It
seems as though before we realize it, the world already has a plan for us, and a
way for us to live. Our flesh falls so easily to distraction from God that it
sometimes becomes hard for us to discern the truth of a situation, or where God
is in it. But we must take comfort and trust in the knowledge of the One who has
saved us—whose foolishness is wiser than man's wisdom, whose weakness is
stronger than man's strength, to whom night shines like day.
not by sight has a strong commitment to the Gospel of Grace offered to us by
the redeeming sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who has offered us reconciliation with
God and abundant, eternal life through our faith in Him.
